I would guess so because according to the staff travel booking system they plan on resuming Chania

By the end of October it should all be loaded
Hi BHX492...thanks as always for your insight into Ryanair and the heads up you give the group. Could I ask how Chania being on your travel booking system correlates to 8 based aircraft? Just trying to work that out 🤔

Most of the time they tend to put the new destinations on the staff travel first like Valencia,Seville and Budapest they were loaded a few months back and just like the passenger booking system the staff one only show route from that specific airport with direct flight and with chania being a smaller base ryanair tries to give the short flights to them.

Very much a work in progress but some pretty big increases even with not all routes loaded.

Currently 172x weekly departures loaded Vs 179x weekly departures in 2023… and that’s with 6 routes still not loaded.

Most routes are on sale between Jun-Oct'24 but most not on sale from Apr-Jun'24 so still lots to change but defo lots to keep an eye on over the next few weeks!

I would expect the usual biggest-ever summer announcement in November or early December, like last year.

as per seanM1997 on "X" today:-

Are Ryanair about to retaliate at Birmingham?

Indicative Summer 2024 slot requests suggest an additional based aircraft with 7 new routes - with some competition against recent additions from easyJet and Jet2
So with Ryanair routes being rumoured.
I can see Derry happening don’t know why
Berlin Maybe
Dortmund possibly
Kerry never been served but could be a possibility
Paphos Maybe due the fact of there’s a load of demand
Agadir maybe 🤔
Naples a good one

Cologne would be a nice addition to the BHX network.
It won't hurt for yet another airline to give it a go

The problem with Cologne/Bonn and for that matter Dortmund is that both are only 40km from Dusseldorf which is centrally located for them and Essen is even closer.

Logically you would think any airline would choose Dusseldorf which is the biggest conurbation for its operations and is the reason for the Cologne routes failures in the past.

But that's like saying if I wanted to visit Liverpool from Germany, the best option is to fly into Manchester which is the bigger airport and city region. No thanks, Liverpool has its own airport and I want to fly direct into that cities airport.

So C'mon Ryanair, give us Cologne. Dusseldorf, not likey

Quite right. But airline economics mean that on thinner routes, airlines can only make money by consolidating demand at larger airports. Airports exist to facilitate the airline business, not v.v.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
