Below is the schedule and going by the morning departures it currently shows four based. Four of the six daily Dublin flights are from DUB based aircraft so I've not listed those. Those in blue are from away based aircraft.

Ray

Is this for the 'best' month (usually August).

If BHX is anything like BRS the number of rotations vary from month to month. For example, at BRS this year May saw 102 weekly rotations and August 118.

Apologies, my eyes are hurting now.

Yes it's based on the second week in August so months either said will vary. It's also worth pointing out that it's still very early days so things may well change.

Indeed, thank you.

so the question is, now the fully RYR schedule appears to be available, compared to s15, how many more flights are there out of BHX in s16... ive heard they have added extrat flights to DUB, BCN, AGP, ALC and PMA, so if growth has been included on these routes, is this net growth or have other routes/frequencies been chopped???

Overall it looks to be growth as now Perpignan is bookable there doesn't seem to be any cuts. Only GLA, EDI and BRS have had the official releases though so more changes could still happen.

They seem to have reacted to Norwegian by upping Malaga for the winter and now next summer. With Vueling and Norwegian on Barcelona that was also increased and since Vueling announced Alicante that has increased next summer too.

There doesn't seem to have been any reaction to the arrival of Wizz though with their Eastern European destinations staying the same. I suppose there is no direct competition as such but it would be interesting to see what happened if Wizz started Katowice or Gdansk. I half expected Ryanair to bring back Madrid and Warsaw to compete with Wizz, Norwegian and Iberia

Kaunas (now showing 'sold out') is being swapped to Vilnius (now bookable) as of March 29th next year, the times and days are still the same.

I wonder if it's got anything to do with the whispers that Vilnius is/was to become a route for Wizz?

Probably yes. Not very good news for Kaunas Airport, but you'd think Vilnius would be a better route than Kaunas to start off with, being the capital.

It's a real shame they did nothing about Budapest and Warsaw although this shows that they are capable of shifting themselves at BHX when they put a mind to it.

We're only seeing movement now there is some competition. Ryanair had their chance when they arrived in a blaze of glory saying we'd see 100 new routes in five years, since then all we've seen is a gradual withdrawal and stagnation.

Wizz Air can offer so much more to Eastern Europe, if Vueling can steadily add a few sun routes over the next few years and Norwegian can build up a decent network then I'll be very happy indeed :s_yes

New route to Corfu for S16, 2x weekly

Ryanair, Europe’s favourite airline, today (14 Oct) announced it will open a new base at Corfu (No. 75), from April 2016, with 1 based aircraft (an investment of $100m), 11 new routes to Birmingham, Bratislava, Budapest, Cologne, Rome, Katowice, Poznan, Pisa, Rzeszow, Venice and Warsaw and more flights to Brussels Charleroi, East Midlands, London Stansted & Milan Bergamo, which will deliver 300,000 customers p.a. and support 225* “on-site” jobs, as Ryanair doubles its Corfu traffic.

According to the press release the BHX summer schedule will 'be released shortly'.

I'm not expecting anything new though. I think Corfu is our first new route for about four years and it's been considerably longer since we had one that didn't displace one elsewhere.

I suppose technically Vilnius is a new route but it's not growth as it's a straight swap for Kaunas. Wasn't expecting anything from Ryanair though so every little helps

I don't want this to end :shok: Great city and surrounds and potential for ski service during winter too. :yahoo:

hold on, before getting too excited, has anything else been dropped? I cant help but feel scared when I see RYR expansion from BHX

I've only had a quick look but everything else seems bookable still, possibly one of the DUB flights may switch to an away based. Hopefully it'll fill a couple of the gaps but it means BHX should definitely be four based next year.

On closer inspection the Monday flight looks to fit into the already existing gap.

I think the Friday flight has replaced the early morning Palma meaning Fri now has just one PMI flight, with an away based aircraft in the evening.

If that's correct it's still an overall gain and great to see another new route :good:

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
