Sad to think this was my last flight from Cardiff and probably will be for a while.

Thanks for that, Jerry.

Did they say why you couldn't video the take-off and landing? I note that you were allowed to on previous Eastern Jetstream flights to/from Anglesey and there are other contributors' Eastern Jetstream flights on YouTube where the take-off and landing was filmed.

Have you had a similar problem with other airlines?

Eastern Airways policy is that all devices be turned off during taxi, takeoff and landing. It seems like it depends on the cabin crew on duty whether they enforce it or not.
Other airlines I've not had a problem with, though on my Ryanair flight they weren't sure about attaching it to the window so I held it by hand.
Some crew do ask about it others don't really seem interested!

Not directly a CWL video but it describes an ill-fated KLM Cityhopper journey from AMS to CWL 26 years ago that turned back to AMS with fatal consequences. It was at a time when the airline used Saab 340s for UK regional routes. I used those aircraft quite a number of times in the 1990s to and from AMS as I'm sure did other members.

I also like the Allec Joshua Ibay approach to outlining aviaiton disasters and other aviation incidents. It's similar to that of the Flight Channel. I find the drama-documentary style employed by some film companies that involves actors rather tedious at times.

Great to see all those BA 747s at CWL but not in the circumstances that they find themselves there.

A good video despite the conditions, It is a shame the BA 747's will not see revenue service again
Thanks! It is a sad sight seeing them all parked up.

Goodbye Queen of the Skies! Final British Airways 747 departure from Cardiff Airport
Been a while since I published a video. Glad that I got the chance to say goodbye to an aircraft that was revolutionary in it's time.

Tremendous record of a historic day at CWL. Many thanks for posting, Jerry.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
