UK airlines ignoring thousands of court compensation judgements

A BBC investigation alleges that thousands of court judgements awarded in favour of passengers against airlines over compensation claims are being ignored.

easyJet and TUI are highlighted with an assertion by the programme makers that new court judgements are being registered against TUI Airways at the rate of 20 a day.

With any civil action getting a judgement is one thing; getting the money is another.

With respectable airlines one ought to be able to feel safe in thinking that they would quickly respect and act upon a court judgement.
