Faro outbound cancelled this evening. Faro inbound cancelled early hours. Alicante cancelled as well. And Malaga airport EZY staff to strike indefinetly from 31st May.

Not looking good.

Do we know why the FAO and ALC rotations were cancelled?

What's the problem with the EZY AGP staff?

FAO and ALC cancellations duevto the french fuel strike problems. Planes and staff in wrong places. French govt advising airlines to carry double fuel for return journeys as no guarantee of fuel being available at french airports.

AGP EZY ground staff on indefinite strike from Tue due to contractual changes makibg it easy for staff to be sacked.

And Thomas Cook are striking next week too due to contractual changes to rest periods.

Thank you for that.

Presumably then it's mainly down to aircraft and staff being in the wrong place following previous delays resulting from the industrial action in France because I'm supposing that the aircraft don't have to take enough fuel to get to ALC and FAO and back.

There must have been lots of unhappy customers as when I looked at the seat selectors a few days ago nearly all the flights from BRS to the the likes of AGP and ALC were shown as sold out on both easyJet and Ryanair for several days ahead including though this weekend.

Prague rotation cancelled tonight. yes irate passengers demanding the impossible it appears

Prague rotation cancelled tonight. yes irate passengers demanding the impossible it appears

Airport departures page showing that Prague will now operate at 0715 tomorrow.

EZY to Madrid only gone out half an hour ago, nearly four hours late and two EZY Edinburghs (sched 2000 and 2115) are still waiting to depart.

Tomorrow morning's EZY to Glasgow is shown as cancelled.

It's beginning to become a bit of a nightmare and we are nowhere near peak summer yet.

Yesterday and today there were a number of unhappy passengers at the EZY desk. Police had to be in attendance to deal with frustrated passengers. Most take it in their stride despite huge disappountments and losses. Not a day to be an EZY rep at the desk.

It's always those at the bottom of the food chain who are paid the least that have to put up with the hassle from customers. The middle and senior management are invariably tucked safely in offices away from the front line.

I'm not just speaking of aviation; it happens everywhere where customers have face to face contact.

easyJet Pisa rotation cancelled today, presumably because of the Italian ATC industrial action.

that is correct! Also the Catania has been delayed overnight due to the strike action today. Also because of the strike meaning crew are out of hours and we have 2 tech aircraft at brs the folowing flights have also been cancelled:

EZY457 IOM
EZY570 NCL
EZY407 GLA

Also the EZY6081 VIE has been rescheduled for tomorrow the 18th June at 1630 because of crew hours and lack of serviceable aircraft.

Along with this the Ryanair Treviso also cancelled because of the Itallian strike action.

Thanks, ezy_brs. The 'like' indication is not because I like flights being cancelled but because you have given us details as to the reasons.

Monday 20 June 2016

The daily Aurigny from/to Guernsey shown as cancelled on the BRS website.

The evening bmi regional to/from Paris Cdg shown as cancelled on the BRS website.

The late morning inbound bmi regional from Munich shown as cancelled on the BRS website.

I've noticed a number of bmi regional cancellations in recent weeks, not all seemingly in connection with industrial action in various European states.

got a mate stuck in cdg. they boarded plane, sat there seemed like forever, then told them flight cancelled. no explanation why. they said can get him back to heathrow tonight, but make own way back to brs.after a while they putting them up in hotel till flight tomorrow.he said like a lot of others, will fly no more with bmi.

How did the aircraft get to Cdg I wonder? According to the BRS website both the outbound and inbound were cancelled.

With the number of flights they've been cancelling you have to wonder what's going on. They are a small airline and cannot afford lots of punters deserting them. Yet again in the industry it seems there was a complete lack of communication to customers from what you say.

Another website is saying the easyJet BRS-Toulouse flight was cancelled leaving a lot of unhappy customers (Wales playing in Toulouse this evening in Euro 16). The BRS website shows that both the outbound and inbound TLS this morning operated.

i have got to the point that you can not trust the arr/dep boards.since they updated them there information is just about zero.there is so many late dep/arr lately but according to boards most things run to time, which we know isnt true. the boards b/fore updated were a lot better.
the airport has to get its act togeather on many different directions, security being one.

The new boards are called 20/20. I think most people will question their eyesight after seeing the info displayed.

The most common mistakes, which do get rectified eventually are flight overhead, flight diverted or flight cancelled. The flight diverted message is clearly wrong because the flight is still more than 12 hrs away. Some sort of bug in software i guess.

Otherwise the handling times, block times etc are quite accurate.

There is another French ATC strike today. They must be paid handsomely if they can afford to lose so much money striking all the time, unless they have it in their contracts that they don't lose money if they strike.:jawdrop:

Anyway so far today easyJet has cancelled

Lisbon
Malaga
- evening rotation
Alicante - evening rotation
Paris Cdg

I believe the Cdg was sold out- the next two days are - as Wales are playing their Euro 16 game in Paris.

bmi regional morning Munich inbound also shown as cancelled.

I presume these cancellations are strike-related. Maybe not bmi regional.

Does anyone know why today's TFS flight MT7422 seemed to go the long way around to go to Tenerife ie Bristol to Cardiff to Merthy to Carmarthen to over head St Davids then way out before turning to head south. Was tracking on FR24 as have family going on holiday

Cheers

Just twigged French atc strike!!

Late morning out/late afternoon in (2nd of today's three rotations) bmi regional to/from Frankfurt cancelled. There certainly seems to be regular bmi regional cancellations these days.

Sunday 26 June 2016

easyJet
flights from Alicante and Fuerteventura both due at 0125 cancelled. Presumably the outbounds on Saturday evening were also cancelled.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
