Trip review
I decided to try a weekend in Bergen soon after this new route was announced so thought a pre Christmas visit would be ideal.

Left on 7 Dec the flight is due to depart at 08.05 at present but in the new year it will be around 10.00. Checked in bag and made way through security. There was quite a number of people going for a Wizz flight at same time but was still screen fast.

The flight was parked remotely so we were bussed. I would say the flight was over a quarter full. Smooth flight and plane is still very smart inside being very new. Flying time 1.30h. Free hot drink on board other items can be purchased.

Came back on Monday 11th Dec WF382, much better load aircraft pretty much full . Again nice smooth flight and landing and was through Liverpool Airport quickly.

Had a really good trip, liked Bergen very much scenery in the area is spectacular. I took a fjord trip then on the Flam railway through mountains very worthwhile doing. The city. Itself is attractive , safe and friendly people. However this is Norway so no bargains !

Glad you had a nice time I've been to Bergen a couple of times (cruises ) really nice place, did you go on the railway thing up the mountain? mind you it would be a bit chilly this time of year. Agree about the prices cost me about five quid a year or three back for a coke wouldn't pay the price of a beer. Its good weekend breaks are avaiable from our local airports.

Lovely place and nice people.

My sister recently took a trip to Norway and said it was a beautiful country though very expensive! She went to Stavanger from NCL. Glad you had a good time!

I actually run out of time so I didn't get the finicular from Bergen up the mountain. I intend to go back as enjoyed it so much, so maybe then. The ' Norway in a Nutshell' tour I did do which included rail travel including the spectacular Flam Railway and a fjord boat trip was super. Took some photos if you want to see some under. ' travel ' a and under ' Liverpool Airport ' . Carl

We did the rail trip from Flam past the mountains and waterfalls etc to the middle of nowhere and back to the ship lovely New Street Station it ain't or Lime Street I should image.

I'm guessing much of the traffic from Bern is footy related

Happy Christmas.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
