I depend upon F4A for airport news as the dear old BBC and the other lot are useless. Seeing the regular photographs is a treat but sadly video does not work for me as BT Broadband cannot manage streaming out here in rural Worcestershire

The occasional competition could be nice, might encourage more members to join in conversations etc. Prize of visit to ATC or a tour of the airfield in a Ranger vehicle subject to security approval and goodwill of management

I used to run competitions with a prize, usually a voucher worth £20 posted out to the winner so they could spend it on whatever they liked. I never thought it was that successful to be honest as we never had many members taking part. The prize fund was out of my personal pocket to build up more interest in the forum.

I would be more than happy to do something similar again if there's enough interest.

Ideally it would be good to get company sponsored prizes.

Free aviation museum entry
Concorde experience
Free entry to Manchester or East Midlands Aerooparks
Visit to an ATC etc etc

If there are any interested companies willing to sponsor a prize we can run something.

Funnily enough, that style in question from the phpBB days is one that I started to customise!

Fancy going further back? Here goes!

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
