2Excell 737 G-NEWG currently on its way down from Glasgow ETA 00:45 presumably with the England football team.

No idea weather if there are any private flights by any of the multi millionaires arranged before anyone asks.

Unusual visitor this afternoon was a 737H of Hello Jet from La Rochelle also last night at 3.09 am. a Vulkan Air AN26 departed to Ostrava must have pleased some of the locals no end as they are not the quietest.

Took off to Nice this morning where the England Rugby team are playing Sunday, assume like the Corsair last Friday taking fans out for the match.

Playing in Lille next Saturday, wonder if we'll see anything for that match?

Just a general note on bits and bobs.

On the freight side West Atlantic have four aircraft in today (a record?) Three 733s one from Aberdeen and one from Bacau then both out to Aswan presumably aid flights the third down as a night stopper plus the regular AT72 night stopping for tomorrow's early mornining newspaper flight to the Isle of Man.

The ASL 737 departed from STS yesterday to Paris CDG so hopefully we might get something of interest soon turning up for them meanwhile the Wedgetails and the Air Canada A321 remain in semi permanent residence. The Air Canada has been here since 9th April, the wedgetails since Noah built his ark 😃

Privilege Style 777 EC-MUA is due in from Burgas late tonight. It’s been covering for TUI out of Manchester over the last couple of days so I expect it will be doing the same here.

actually never turned up, flight was diverted to Gatwick, as the aircraft was required to operate for TUI today from Gatwick, so the poor passengers, who have already been delayed 24 hours, are now having to be coached back to Birmingham, and to add to their woes i believe that had to wait for the coaches too!! shambles by TUI again, the Friday 787 Tenerife flight departed 37 hours late, the inbound arrived early this morning 37 hours late.

The whole thing wreaks of a business loosing it way over the last few days and in fact over two years. The last few days have been a shambles not just at Birmingham but Manchester and Gatwick have suffered also. Its looking systematic with aircraft being shuffled around or charterd in and apperant crew shortages again while aircraft sit on the ground for hours while delays build up. Passengers at BHX who had been put up in a hotel were told to find taxis to the airport because their coach never turned up. There are detailed tales of woe on another forum.

This is repeat of last year and Jet2 must be laughing all the way to the bank, EasyJet Holidays will become a growing force and there will be an opening for another IT operator to keep Jet2 on their toes or TUI could even face potential takeover although I've no idea by who.

They clearly need to make changes pronto starting at the top otherwise the only way is down.

Got that off my chest.

P.S. just noticed some lucky soles at MAN have had a 30hr delay the beat goes on.

You know it's one thing having a swanky website and TV adverts, but they're increasingly finding it hard to back that up with what comes after the booking stage. I wouldn't normally say this......but sell Tui UK back to the Brits and make it Thomson again. Sweeping statement and a lot more than that would have to go into getting it's once fantastic reputation back again. Summat has to give and fast.....so many holiday makers needlessly alienated again and again. Makes me think twice about booking Tui. How many others may think the same 🤔
EasyJet chose wisely to launch next summer season......

Alba Star 737 EC-NGC doing 2 flights into BHX tomorrow from Nice, assuming bringing the England fans back after tonight's game.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
