I do remember a good few years ago when EK were working with Srilanken there was talk of BHX & MAN getting flights, as they had a good network of connectivity around Asia ….

Sir Lankan post Air Lanka was a part of Emirates and some aircraft were transferred. The livery was closely linked to parent before being let loose.

The red & white has always been there it separates the central area, it’s a unusual angle of the picture… but nothing new

I'm sure those red and white barriers have been there for years. They divide off stands that are nose in to the end of T2 from those that are side on. I think the nose in stands are for two narrow bodies or one wide body and probably the only stand on T2 that can take a heavy.

I'm guessing that it won't be the An-225 that's mentioned in the article - would be nice though!

They could use Atlas 747s like the US forces or those of Kallita but I guess AirTanker will lease part of the RAF fleet of Voyager keeping it military. Great stuff coming to Birmingham as it should!

I believe that BA Cityflier are doing BHD flights from LBA and possibly other airports, following the Stobart collapse. Is it possible that it's positioned in to BHX to do the same?

Just checked on flightradar24 and it operated to Marseille.

Aircraft now positioning back to London City.
