Very possible it is related to the F1 event this weekend near Marseille.
There is an airport next door to the race circuit which another BA tail was spotted at, but unsure of where the aircraft came from originally.

Reported in the mainstream media that their is a flight today to an airport in the Midlands from Afghanistan bringing back troops and Afghanistan interpreters with their families to the UK for their safety.

An Air Tanker A332 is down to position in today at lunchtime from Gatwick so maybe something to do with it or just coincidence, either way another A330 series due in.

An RAF A400 has been doing circuits about an hour ago I wonder if it did a victory role in celebration of the football result.

There is a Titan 752 due in today from Stansted departing at 1500 to Rome. The England football team are based nearby at St Georges and have previously used BHX and Titan, 2+2=4?

Jet2 are down today to operate 4 flights Ibiza, Mahon and two to to Palma.
TUI one to Palma with a 788, while Ryanair bucket and spade flights today are off to Barcelona, Faroe, Alicante, Malaga, Lanzarote and Palma.

B789 (G-TUIL) departed LGW for AUH on 19-Jun-21 and has been there ever since. It may be due back in the next couple of days with a crew now out in AUH.
