Although I'm not into playing computer games I know there are lots of people on the forum who do. Talk about the games you play and tactics you use to get through the levels. Share hacks and cheats or whatever!

Mine are both into Minecraft. I can't stand it, or the noise it makes. It's a constant war with the volume buttons in our house.

I also have two Minecraft kids, I've tried but I just don't understand it.

My youngest also watches Youtube videos of others playing the game which is something that I just don't get.

Oh, I have exactly the same volume wars.

Yep exactly the same here with the YouTube videos watching others play games. Our two both like watching Sis vs Bro. They play games but they also do some weird challenges too. I expect yours would probably like it too.

Not seen those but I will mention it to them.

My youngest watches Unspeakable Gaming who does the usual Minecraft and Roblox stuff but also does other unrelated things with some quite funny practical jokes. I have to admit that sometimes I do find myself watching it.

This guy has a huge house in Houston and several sports cars so I did a little research and found out that he's worth circa $9 million. Not bad for making Youtube videos and selling T-Shirts.

To make the most of this long downtime, I've just started playing Cities: Skylines and I'm loving it so far. I'm a fan of creative games like this.

I'm also a huge fan of the Halo series on Xbox, one of the best stories ever told in video games and a fantastic multiplayer mode too.

Is that kind of a simcity style game?

It's funny how so many of us that are interested in aviation are also intrested in buildings and cityscapes.

Yes, the concept of it is to build a city and make it grow in so many different ways.

Adding onto this, I also love taking pictures of buildings as well, that's why i do a lot of photography around Birmingham and London in my spare time

If you have iPhone/iPad then i advise Football Chairman Pro. You do have to pay for it but such a little addictive game. Play it whilst you queue for the supermarket (i did a full season), waiting for the kettle to boil, the other half, you've got a spare 20 minutes on your hand.

Basics of the game - you run a football club. Your the chairman. You do the hiring and firing off management and the team. You buy and sell players - negotiate the contracts, you put money into the training facilities, the youth facilities, the backroom staff, the stadium/pitch and facilitates. You choose the sponsors, anyone who wants to rename your stadium (mine is currently called the Airline stadium for 5 years for £12.5 million a year). You don't get involved in the strategic match by match analysis, picking who is in the starting 11, sub bench tactics - its simpler. Your aim is to go from Non-League C to Premier League. I currently done that; yet to win European League/Primer League and the Cup. But i'm working on it.

Enjoy :)

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
