Indeed JFY, and it seems Orlando is the next long haul route to go fully year year round, as its bookable all winter. Seems to be a mix of frequencies, with as little as 1 weekly in December to 8 weekly in March (2 daily on Thu/Sat/Sun during that month).

That's JFK and MCO covered, my guess is LAS to be next.

Lots of advertising around Manchester Piccadilly station re Thomas Cook and year round to JFK.

As expected, Las Vegas goes year round next year.

It has flights listed as 4 weekly, but, will be 2 weekly for the majority of the winter.

JFK is listed as daily but I've been told it will be 5 weekly.

Orlando is 2 weekly most of the winter before rising to at least 7 weekly by the end of winter.

It still says CPT is a Gatwick only route, but, I'm told to keep my eyes peeled.

I am staggered that CPT remains unserved from MAN by TCX. Such an obvious "winter" route that can piggy back off the wider Condor and other TCX route from LGW.

Airlineroute has picked up on the TCX timetable for next winter.

They are however reporting that LAS and CUN are decreases compared to W17. Given next winter will be the first time they have run LAS for a full winter, how you can decrease something you never had is beyond me?

This is presumably a case of TCX updating their timetable and routes not comparing apples with apples (i.e. W17 is a completed timetable whereas W18 is partially complete).

Does anyone have any update on what TCX are looking to do next summer/winter? There was talk of new routes however that has stagnated somewhat. Can anyone give me some insight?

As far as I was aware, we could be looking at:
-TPA/MSY/SAN Possible New Routes (S18)
-Increased Frequency on JFK (S18)

-Year-round extensions of LAS/MCO (W18)
-CPT Possible New Route (W18)

Also, where did Mauritius go?!

Thomas Cook will increase by at least one more short haul aircraft next summer.

I am rubbish at working out timetables versus historic data, so no idea which routes get increased.

However, Dalaman is 11 weekly on the week in August I checked, I'm pretty sure the frequency wasn't that high previously. Antalya is 9 weekly and again I can't remember if that's an increase.

If Jet2 is after an Air Tanker A330, this potentially could see the TCX one be relinquished and perhaps a new "old" A330 coming on stream that would enable them to offer the same product on all of them?

Well there are some ex Air Berlin ones now available on the market so maybe they will look at one of them.

TCX should have in 2018:

TCXB/TCXC/TCXD/MDBD/MLJL/OMYT/CHTZ/VKG/VYGK

So far 7 needed at MAN for long haul, and then 1 each for GLA/STN and LGW.

There are apparently slots showing for an 8th A330 at MAN but I'm have not seen them personally and I'm not sure where said aircraft would come from, as Malaysian picked up 6 or 7 of the AB A330 and Eurowings slated to get the others.

Titan Airways were reported as picking up 2 A330s from Air Berlin. Plus TCX have struck a deal with Air Transat so that could be a possibility?

The Air Transat deal covers winter only, as TCX doesn't need as much A321 capacity where's Transat does, and Transat doesn't need the A330 capacity but TCX does.

The first Transat A330 is heading to Dusseldorf to cover the new long haul base set up for Condor. Essentially, Dusseldorf is 'Condor operated by Air Transat on behalf of Thomas Cook'. Enough to confuse anyone.

I've posted before about MT's odd routes out of MAN, loaded in the GDS.

CPT is an example - but revealed to be just a handful of northern Summer flights. Manaus and Colombo are still loaded...

The latest one is YYT. St John's, Newfoundland. Shown as direct on MT.

Could this be part of the Transat deal?

Seems Thomas Cook has gone down a similar route to Virgin in reducing the season of some of its flights.

Seattle and Boston now only run from the end of May until the last week of September.

Other routes loose frequency outside of these dates too, such as SFO which is only 2 weekly until May 21st and then from 23rd Sept again.

Hopefully just an error but will keep an eye on it.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
