Read on another forum that Cape Town is to be announced for 18/19.

Let's hope. Would love even a weekly frequency, and would be great to see Thomas Cook expand their winter footprint further, with last years addition of Tobago, and now up to 6-weekly New York in 2018.

Would be a massive one ticked off the list.

Is MRU a scheduled route at fortnightly frequency or just a series of charters?

I'm fairly sure I saw a TCX aircraft from MAN about 20 mins away from MRU on Flightradar24 the other night so are we sure it wasn't an actual flight?

No the flight definitely operated; flew over my hous operated by -TCXC I think. Just wondering whether it is going to operate fortnightly over the winter period?

Hi guys

The above outbound to Mauritius definitely did operate. I was on shift and my colleague who works on the main search area ( OBC outbound control ) said it was busier than usual due to extra pax on the flight, for a November evening that is.

He said they all had extra freebies from the airline which gave problems getting the nearly 300 pax through Security.

Hopefully processing the pax next time will be smoother.

Olsen has teamed up with Thomas Cook Airlines and Manchester Airport Group for the duration of its inaugural ‘Indian Ocean’ fly-cruise season, from November 2017 to January 2018, which will feature five different itineraries exploring a variety of destinations, including the Seychelles, Comoros Islands, Réunion Island and Mauritius. In 2018, Boudicca is expanding the season and operating six Indian Ocean Islands fly-cruises from October 2018 to January 2019.

Noticed they've had a few charters from Egilsstadir in Iceland recently. First non-Keflavik destination in Iceland for us?

Also seen flights between Manchester and Abu Dhabi recently on Flightradar24. Are these charters?
