W patterns would’ve worked
From which bases exactly? Most routes would exceed Crew duty hours for routes that would work in the winter from CWL.
Bucharest and Milan were probably the best and simplest options if it had to be somewhere. Low cost airlines aren't in the business of positioning empty sectors or operating W patterns

This is what Wizz for Summer 2023 looks like, whether it remains like this only time will tell

If Vueling are cutting back on their flights, perhaps WIZZ should consider cutting back on the Heraklion route and put an extra flight on Alicante, unless Ryanair see a chance for themselves on the route.

Milan starts today. Operated by a Wizz Air Hungary A321 neo.

If you're going by the seats taken, I would imagine the back is blocked off for weight and balance on the outbound flight. That seatplan at the back is too neat!

Wizz Air have put winter 2023 onsale up to the end of December
It's 5 routes with 12 weekly departures so far.

Tenerife 3 weekly Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Lanzarote 3 weekly Monday, Wednesday and Friday
Alicante 2 weekly Tuesday and Saturday
Faro 2 weekly Tuesday and Saturday
Larnaca 2 weekly Thursday and Sunday

That's good news for next winter, seems to be a more realistic timetable than they were going to operate this winter. It would certainly boost CWL passenger figures.

That require 2 aircraft? Or will the Arrecife/Lanzarote work on the back of the Tenerife or vice versa?
I haven't looked at the times but the schedule for this winter was supposed to be Lanzarote in the morning and Tenerife in the afternoon. So i'd expect the same and it being for only 1 aircraft with Larnaca the only departure on Thursdays and Sundays.

There appears to be gaps in the days of operation possibly to be filled with Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura as there is no sign of Sharm el Sheik?
It would be great to see some ski flights too, possibly Geneva and Innsbruck.

Looks like it’s on sale right through to first week of April 2024 on the App 🙌🏻👏🏻

Given the Lanzarote/Arrecife closure that makes alot of sense.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
