The question still remains though will passengers be bussed directly to aircraft on Pier C stands and enter via stairs or will they be bussed to an ' entry point' on Pier C, so airbridges can be used? The latter seems like a faff! Who else is going to use Pier C other than Easyjet?

That’s not know yet by the sounds of it and any airline that uses T2 potentially but more likely used for first wave departures and late night arrivals.

Hi Guys, my first time commenting here.

There is a passenger entry point at one of these circled areas.
Last year when Jet2 were operating from both terminals we travelled to Turkey from T1 but on return the aircraft was parked at one of the legacy T2 Gates, 203 or 204 I think it was at the time. We were made to deboard from the back door and put on to a bus which dropped us at one of the circled areas on the pic. I think it was the one to the right as there seems to be a stair well area there. anyway that door took us straight to passport control in literally a minute or 2. I can see it causing delays if people are shopping/eating in T2 and then need to get over to pier C for their flight.

Cheers

@CCGE29 mayeb you know ; has 215 on the end of pier 2 now got an air bridge? It didn’t appear on the plans but a bad photo from southside suggests it has.

Also I noted 214 now has its air bridge.
Negative, 215 does not have a bridge nor was planned to.

All other bridges have been installed and testing is underway.

Centrelines are now being painted on the stands - 204-210 all ready to go, similarly 203-205 all painted up also.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to finally seeing pier 2 open! 19th October is still the planned opening date?

UK Arrivals in T2 must be almost ready will be interesting to see what gates BA use on regular basis. As some days they have as many as 7 flights.

I don't see why BA should get preferential treatment for the few flights a day when there are other airlines who operate a great deal more flights and are more important (financial wise) to MAN.

i was going to say the same - where are ba getting special treatment by MAN?

With confirmation (although not official) from the airport’s flights section page on the website, suggests Ryanair will be T1 based from 21st October for departures and T3 for arrivals.
But does MAG have a plan for their current T1 lounges, given the fact there aren’t any in T3.
I have a few Ryanair flights booked between October and January and would ideally like to book the Escape or Aspire lounge.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
