Airline Jobs that Involve Travel

I’m looking at potentially doing an aviation management degree, but my main aim is to get a job with an airline that involves frequent travel (not cabin crew or pilot). I’d ideally want a job involved in the business side of the industry. I’m not sure if such a role exists, but I’m open to suggestions.

I know companies like Jet2 have office based rolls which also require frequent visits to overseas base airports such as AGP and PMI. If you are looking for a companies with more exotic outposts you might want to try TUI who are based in Germany but have subsidiaries throughout Europe. I guess it also depends of the specific roll you are interested in. "Aviation Management" covers a broad range of positions.

Thanks , I guess I’m interested in the analysis/strategy side of things, an ideal job for me would be working on planning routes and finding new destinations. I don’t know if such a job exists.

I do believe there are such rolls but I'm not sure whether they would enable you to travel. I would suggest reaching out to a few different airlines of your choice by speaking to their HR. Some airlines will of course have specific recruitment teams. I would advise you to concentrate on getting through the door as it will enable you to find your chosen career path easier. You will be able to concentrate on networking and building relationships with the right people once you're in.

Yeah, I think I’m going to try and do the course and also try to work part time at an airline (probably BA but anything going at LHR)
