Re: Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

Further to my last post, supposedly two aircraft diverted whilst the airport was closed. One to East Midlands and one to Manchester.

Re: Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

The LS883 Manchester to Pisa has diverted into Doncaster airport this morning for a splash and dash following the fuel shortages at Manchester airport.

Now that's if you want to call it a splash and Dash. But LS883 (Boeing 737-300 G-CELE) spent nearly 4 hours at DSA this morning to be fuelled up.

Now I wouldn't say that was a quick turn around, Would you?

What happened? Was the Doncaster refueller having his usual hour kip between flights.

Re: Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

Now Now thats unfair :s_sad . The old jet2 bird went tech so passengers had to be off loaded into the terminal for 4 hours while it was sorted. Well at least the bar made a little extra :drinks:

Re: Diversions, Delays & Cancellations

The Leeds bound KLM flight KL1547 from Amsterdam and the Jet2 flight LS472 from Berlin have diverted into Doncaster Sheffield airport due fog at Leeds Bradford airport.

08:00 W61017 Katowice (KTW) Wizz Air A320 HA-LPQ Diverted to DSA from GLA due to high winds.

The BE4414 (G-FBEM) from Amsterdam is currently holding over DSA. Are the Flybe ERJ-195s not Cat 3 equipt?

Now diverting to LBA.

Make it 4! LTN appears to be open but all have opted for DSA, none having attempted a LTN landing. May be flightplanned as direct DSA. This is what I believe has diverted in today:

8:20 AM W63001 Bucharest (OTP)Wizz Air A321 (HA-LXI)

Believe it or not but fog caused the diversion of the MAGMA B747 to EMA this morning. I believe it eventually flew back to DSA after the fog lifted. (courtesy of FR24)

Jordan Aviation A332 JY-JVB flew Islamabad - Doncaster return yesterday. The airline is operating flights on behalf of PIA.

It may have been the Manchester flight diverting to Doncaster?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
