Liverpool: Lufthansa News & Flight Discussion

Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
I m at a bit of a loss as to what airport management can do now. I must have used the route 10 times between this year and last. Apart from right at the beginning when I'd day it was 50 ish % full, it grew quickly and from observations it was full or nearly full. The demand was certainly there. Most passengers were transferring. It very often was not cheap too, so Lufthansa would be gaining high fare returns.

They then increased it this year from 4 to 6 per week, which was welcome, substituted for larger aircraft at times

It was only going to grow. Ok they sat its suspended , but Liverpool is a small fish in the Lufthansa network, but for Liverpool Airport to clinch the route took years of negotiations and planning. Its very disappointing.

Hopefully once the engine issues are sorted then the route will resume.
