Play have loaded flight from Liverpool to Keflavik fron September 2025. The service does not operate in summer months, I'd expect that not to alter with their announcement of looking more at sun routes.

Whilst Play are operating now, after November it's unclear with their route. from Liverpool. They are moving away from their US model and looking at servicing Med destinations from Iceland. The Liverpool- Keflavik is popular with football supporters traffic, I think passengers to the US from here will have dived particularly since Trump. Im sure Aer Lingus will feel this too.

I'd have thought they'd have had the flights onsale by now?

USA is a very difficult market now as is so expensive out there and a very divided country
The Trump affect, apparently US - Canadian traffic is down my 70%.

I think they will move away from the model we know, and concentrate on European sun destinations.

I'd expect as well they'll look at routes that bring tourists to Iceland as well.

I think it will be difficult for all US bound airlines now, not just Play. Does Play operate into Canada though. We know the Canadians are keen to strengthen ties with the EU and the UK so maybe this might be an option for Play?

Yes this has been known for some time, that its unclear what they are doing after November. I mentioned it in April.
Well the destinations they've been launching lately look to be more orientated towards taking Icelanders on holiday than connecting people to the USA.

That's true, they seem to be changing their focus. Their Liverpool service brings in quite a lot of football supporters from Iceland.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
