4.0 OPERATIONAL IMPLICATIONS
4.1 Aircraft Parking Stands
4.1.1 Stands 209 and 210 have been withdrawn from use. This information was promulgated in an earlier OAN (OAN 56-2022).
4.1.2 The work will have no impact on the adjacent and active Stand 208. Access and egress via the west side ground level door serving Stand 208 Pepper-pot and associated pedestrian walkway have been relocated on to the southside of the Pepper-pot prior to the tie in of the Hesco Critical Part fence.
4.2 Head of Stand Road and Associated Clearways
4.2.1 The clearway between Stands 208 and 209 is now closed. The head of stand road between Stands 208 and 207 has changed to become bidirectional to assist with on time performance to and from the baggage hall to stands on the eastern side of Terminal 2. The clearways between Stands 204 & 205 and 206 & 207 have switched direction to facilitate access/egress to the baggage hall and the head/rear of stand road.
4.2.2 Whilst the work on the new sub-station at the head of Stand 208 is ongoing and the road is reduced in width, traffic is controlled with priority vehicle signage. Priority must be given for vehicles travelling from east to west. Vehicles travelling from west to east must give way to oncoming traffic.
4.3 Control of Noise and Dust
4.3.1 During the excavation, sound curtains will be attached to Heras fencing panels and moved along with the excavation to reduce noise as far as is reasonably practical.
4.3.2 Water jetting will be used to reduce dust during the controlled demolition, excavations, and the concrete crushing procedure.
4.3.3 Any silt created by the water jetting is to be removed by a sweeper vehicle to prevent it entering the drainage system.
