Noticed they have completely axed Gatwick.Wonder if Heathrow was too much for them at LGW.

Manchester have slots for 2 daily jeddah
Birmingham have 4 weekly slots.

It is strange. Even factoring in WizzAir, Gatwick's figures for JED suggest SV performed well. BHX seems to have extremely busy months and then a major drop in L/Fs. Overall they must be happy if they are increasing flights.

Saudia NS26 Selected Long-Haul Service Increases – 25DEC25

Saudia earlier this month filed initial changes to its planned operation for Northern summer 2026 season. As of 25DEC25, significant service increases on selected long-haul routes include the following, including those that are filed but not available for reservations.

Dammam – London Heathrow eff 29MAR26 3 weekly 787-9 service to be maintained (reservations not available)
Jeddah – Birmingham
eff 04APR26 Tentative increase from 3 to 4 weekly, 787-9/-10 (additional flights not available for reservations)
Jeddah – New York JFK eff 02JUL26 Tentative increase from 4 to 7 weekly, 777-300ER (additional flights not available for reservations)
Jeddah – Paris Charles de Gaulle
eff 29MAR26 Increase from 11 to 12 weekly, 787-9/-10
Jeddah – Toronto
eff 29MAR26 Increase from 4 to 5 weekly, 787-9
Riyadh – Washington Dulles eff 05JUL26 Tentative increase from 3 to 4 weekly, 777-300ER (additional flight not available for reservations)

Separately, Jeddah – London Gatwick route is not available for reservations for travel on/after 28MAR26, despite the filing of 4 weekly flights.

So Saudia 4 weekly from the 4th April?

Saudia and winter always prove popular and I don’t understand why they canny operate 4 weekly during them at period.

For summer I’ve heard it’s pretty poor

Now showing on BHX screens as a 777-300.
Not surprised as last 5 flights have been full outbound
Isn't down to demand, this aircraft has a lower capacity than the 787-9/10 and also comes with first class (12 seats to be exact) will likely be an error or there will be another reason as to why it has been sent. First class may even be empty as its not a class Saudia offer from BHX

Boeing 777 is able to carry a lot more cargo than the 787, it’s also the “up to date” 777 offered by Saudia, unlike other variants.

Very much doubt much cargo will be carried

I believe SV carries a huge amount of cargo on their BHX-JED route. I cant imagine why tomorrows flight would be any different just because its operated by a 773 over the normal 789/78X?

I reckon even if they did put a triple 7 on, and if, now this is a very big if, if one were to actually come, more than likely it would be a two class, like HZ-AK29 for example, or at least, anything from -AK11 to -AK35.

Precisely. Oh, and HZ-ARG’s an airframe I’ve flown about 2 years ago on New Years Eve coming back from my first trip to Saudi, very nice inside, wing was spotless, not sure about it now if it’s accumulated some speedtape.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
