Just watched it. Made it no problem, must have had a
Not necessarily low pax but none of their LBA routes are long range so they never need s big fuel load. BA often did the same on their A319s.Just watched it. Made it no problem, must have had a low passenger/fuel load.
Looks like it is a positioning flight to collect last night’s cancelled Belfast International passengers.G-EZDH easyJet A319 due in from MAN at 0739.
Must have been frustrating for the passengers told their flight was at first delayed - and then cancelled due weather and be watching everything else landing and departing?Looks like it is a positioning flight to collect last night’s cancelled Belfast International passengers.

So what was the real reason do we think?Must have been frustrating for the passengers told their flight was at first delayed - and then cancelled due weather and be watching everything else landing and departing?
Perhaps the weather at Belfast was the problem because although there were a few go arounds, most, if not all, got into LBA, even the ATRs. The wind conditions were far worse further North and West.Must have been frustrating for the passengers told their flight was at first delayed - and then cancelled due weather and be watching everything else landing and departing?
However cancellations at origin are included in thr surveys for all airports, so its a level playing field.Perhaps the weather at Belfast was the problem because although there were a few go arounds, most, if not all, got into LBA, even the ATRs. This is why these surveys about cancellations are nonsense. LBA gets a black mark due to a cancellation, irrespective of whether it was caused by the weather here, at the other end, or by an accumulated delay, or by a tech fault. I'm sure too that they will ignore the fact the flight is operating today instead.
The playback feature on flightradar shows the inbound BFS-LBA flight making 2 missed approaches and then diverting to MAN. Original intention was to refuel and position back to LBA but that was subsequently cancelled in favour of rescheduling to this morning
And yet the ATR's managed to get in!The playback feature on flightradar shows the inbound BFS-LBA flight making 2 missed approaches and then diverting to MAN. Original intention was to refuel and position back to LBA but that was subsequently cancelled in favour of rescheduling to this morning
Everything got in from what I saw except this particular Easyjet. Just bad luck with strong gusts at the wrong time or maybe the A319 doesn't handle well in windy conditions? However cancellations at origin are included in thr surveys for all airports, so its a level playing field.
