Malta Air Boeing 737-800 9H-QDT is enroute from Paris Beauvais and will shortly make her first LBA visit. This aircraft made an original first LBA visit on 29 December 2017 when operated by Ryanair as EI-FTT.

It might just be me, but Reliability wise it seems like jet2 are having a really poor start to summer 2024 season at LBA.

Annoyingly it doesn’t seem to be happening at the other bases. Unless it’s just not being reported as much as we do on here.
They might be having some challenges but it’s largely kept in house, because they’re very quick to make alternative arrangements either using their own fleet or acquiring short term leases.
It’s likely to remain a challenge whilst they wait for the future deliveries I suspect - but I’m sure they continue to handle it well (might be expensive mind)

Is it just me or does the LBA based fleet comprise of predominantly older aircraft currently.
Yes, but age isn’t the reason behind the current tech issues!

Believe me, it’s everywhere!

Not sure what’s going on but everything keeps falling over at the moment!

There’s a lack of spare aircraft at present due C checks over running and the delay in the 321 arrivals. At planning stage when S24 schedule was released there was meant to be more Airbus arrivals!

AE just departed Faro for LBA, no details of any additional rotations on FR24, or a departure back to MAN, do we know if she will be staying a while?
Just landed at 1506.
Nothing showing on FR24 to indicate any positioning flight back to MAN yet, not anything using AE tomorrow either. Maybe they're waiting to see if the 737 situation improves and will leave the 757 here until they're sure what they've got?

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
