The airport have put out a fun quiz on a social media platform that I couldn't possibly mention, which provides some information about the terminal extension. I would have copied the link but as it's a link to that platform, it's not permitted. But people can look out for it whilst browsing if they're interested

We updated our guidance on links to other social media a while ago. You might be able to offer a link. Visit the help pages for further guidance.

As the current year draws to a close, we mustn't underestimate how much of a milestone 2024 has been for LBA which is finally seeing the reversal of years of under investment come to fruition! Here's to a positive 2025 (and selfishly a bit of tartan - soon - as the thought of the combination of Schipol and Eastern Airways is making me look over the Pennines!)

Hopefully if there is any remaining it gets a good wash / tarted up. anybody know if the portacabins at the bottom of the walkway are due to go? Surely they must be?

They have constructed a temporary walkway so they can demolish part of the walkway in order to construct the new link road from the apron down to the new baggage system on the ground floor.

The bridge will be built over this ramp to connect the end of the extension with the remaining portion of the old covered walkway and the portacabin gates at the far end.

Just the part in front of the extension. The rest will remain for now as replacing it with a two level, sealed, heated pier, will require a planning application and we all know where that will lead.
Wish they would crack on and get rid of the bus shelter as soon as possible, its getting in the way and spoiling our well design clean look extention!
Far as im aware the final bits to be fitted externally are those dark tinted windows and on the landside the darker section at the bottom, once done in my opinion it will really bring it to life as currently its looking a bit dull.

Hi, I was born and lived in B36 for a long time - Lindale Avenue, just around the corner from Hodge Hill Comp.
I just noticed your postcode on a post.

Do you still live in the area?
survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 2nd time

49 trips undertaken last year. First done this year which was to North Wales where surprisingly the only slippery surfaces were in Conwy with the castle and it's walls closed due to the ice.
