Hi all. Long time reader first time posting. I maybe wrong. However I seriously don’t think that is the official cladding. I believe it’s the Kingspan type insulation sheets? The actual cladding will be installed over the top. Whiteheather maybe able to confirm or deny?
Unfortunately, I don't know if this is the final cladding (which presumably would have insulation embedded in it) or whether there's another layer to go over this.

I don't know how much in the loop you are in but the building under construction is actually plan B and was previously knocked back in favour of a new terminal.
Whatever the reason, we are where we are, back to the original plans, plans which were kicked out for a reason. What can still be influenced is the internal aspects of the design. One of those changes for me is going from three arrivals carousels to five. Also moving the immigration location to the opposite end of the new building will allow a continuous flow for passengers which is something I brought up when the plans were originally released. Let's face it, the building is never going to win awards for its appearance but fingers crossed the internal design and layout should make a huge difference.

I still feel we may be surprised by the finished product as like i mentioned its not just going to be one big grey box from what the designs suggest, one lives in hope!

Thanks Aviador. I’ve been following all things LBA for more years than I care to remember. So fully up to speed with all the New Terminal approval, GALBA nonsense and the previous governments holding the application for further review thus extending the delays to spades in the ground and ultimate decision to cancel etc. And then going back to plan A of a terminal extension from 2018/9 approved plans. I took drive up there last week and had a quick peek at the site and thought I noticed grey sheets with the yellowish insulation at the sides. I’m probably wrong but wished I taken some pictures to share. Next time I’m up there I will try and get a few.

It's a natural camouflage scheme, in recognition of the Avro factory next door. Rumour has it that there will be artificial cows, sheep and shrubbery on the roof in the hope that they who shall not be named don't know it's there.
Maybe aircraft should be painted up in Black Cat firework colour schemes as there doesn't seem to be any problem with them going off all night.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
