Jet2s latest acquisition B738 G-JZDH is being put into service tomorrow currently planned to operate the Santorini 07:20.

This mornings first departure to AGA signals the wind down of summer and gradual transition to winter operations.

A side note, yesterday also gave staff a sneak peak at the long awaited new crew uniforms for both flight and cabin crew. I think it’s a nice freshen up, not too drastic a change for cabin crew although flight deck is a bit more modern - introduction should be early next year.

I am liking the flight deck one, it’s a massive shift away from the charcoal grey with gold bars to a blue with light bars and wings pin badge. I think they’re fitted better this time too from what I can gather.

Looks like we have flights to Salerno instead of Naples, albeit very temporary. I believe over the hill airport gets regular Salerno flights next year though?

I guess they will all be scrapped in the end, they are now old frames with a lot of hours on them, but they have been fantastic aircraft and a joy to fly on.

Got a mail shot in my Email this morning - Malmo is a cool place in its own right and despite the reputation Sweden has, your £ can go further than central Copenhagen! Also they operate the Scandinavian Tax Free scheme so you can get a bit (not all) of VAT back if you do buy anything!

I have been to Vienna and there is a bus shuttle from the airport to Bratislava.

Is that a free shuttle or just a service bus?

Ive been a few times and dont remember a shuttle. I asked at the info desk about how to get into the city but they just said the service bus (which goes to the other side of the town- not sure if it stops near the old town or not) or a taxi, but they seem to have a preferred taxi company. We struggled to get an Uber, they were available on the app but when you requested a pick up they started haggling or simply declined.
