That’s not the reason they’ve moved it.

Anyway, there are some people in positions of authority on the matter that haven’t got a clue what’s happening now wrt A321 at LBA. Many hoping it’ll be next year, but many not convinced it’ll be before 2029. You can rubbish the information about ideal performance all you want but whilst they’re getting everything set up and contracts in place they’ll probably want to play it safe.

Crewing the orders will be an uphill struggle at the moment, lots of people not wanting to leave easyjet or going back to easyjet. Wizzair paying skippers upto 200k. BA are a major 320 operator. Hopefully they’ll pull some magic rabbit out of the hat tricks and they’ll make it worth the switch.

They wouldn’t waste all the time swapping them over unless the only reason is because the Manchester cannot fit more then its current A321 sims. Though one imagines they are all the similar size.

It’s just a factor of capacity. They have a training centre that has big holes where sims used to be, there’s no point having a half empty training centre on one side and a full one in Cheadle. It’s nothing to read into, the air busses will arrive in LBA when they arrive and when senior people don’t know when it’ll happen there’s not much point in speculating on here.

As CM says, there’s a very good chance of catching one over the next t couple of days as the aircraft are performing line training sectors around the bases.

They are using a B733 as B738 G-JZHE was down to operate but had a bird strike last night so is tech.

Probably gives some sort of indication as to what the load may be like too.

That said a couple of things to consider:
It is first week in Feb so it's good to just have a flight, and with an airline that finds another aircraft when one is poorly.
Plus LS prices probably means it's still profitable even without being full

Reported on the BOH thread in the DFF that LS are to operate BOH-AGA this winter after the FR pull out. Wonder if LS will start to look at RAK from LBA as well as wider Morocco services from other bases where FR have pulled flights?
