True and you would expect that in Paris but we are talking LBA, and yes you pay a premium but…£18 is just a rip off.
But how does it compare with other airports?

Looking at the prices at a bar at Manchester airport its £6.25 for a 330ml bottle of Budweiser (the tasteless one- not the Czech variety)

I suspect its about the same price at other airports. I imagine the airports charge a lot for the rent.

Supply and demand.

Yes, they are rip off prices, but when did anyone ever see the bars at the airport empty? Always full. Often no spare seats. It's a captive customer audience , and customers who generally don't like the prices, but will pay them anyway, ' cos their going in holiday and the holiday starts there. Or they're nervous flyers wanting to calm their nerves.

Every business in every airport rips off their customers , because they can. And as has been stated already, a fair chunk of their profits will go to the airport operator who have to make most of their income that way or through parking, with only a small proportion coming from airlines.

When you fly you are going to have service station prices. Everybody I know understands and accepts this and you have a choice of take it or leave it. Every bar has to display the drinks prices by law. You have a chance to see those prices before you pay. If you don't like the prices you can choose not to buy the drinks.

In my airport days I'd see so many people taking packed lunches. Little old dears with their clingfilm wrapped sandwiches and scotch eggs. It always amused me how they were prepared to pay thousands for their holiday to Spain or Greece but yet they would scrimp and scrape at the airport.

Came home tonight on LS251 on G-GDFM….smoothest landing I have ever had, fabulous. Got off the coach pretty quick and probably 20 or so people in front on me at passport/border control, had 2 checked in bags, 5 mins at the belt and both my cases were out very very quickly, M&G was 2 mins and I was out to my car. Landed at 16:30 and I was listening to R5 football results at 17:04…brilliant!…but not for BCFC…

Seems this guy wasn’t too happy about his experience at LBA! Not sure the city of Bradford would be too happy about his comments.
I guess it’s his poor attempt at trying to be controversial to try and drive up his You Tube hits for his Xmas bonus 🤣

This has also been posted and discussed in the general thread.

Well after the security lottery, we went shopping and finished up in the cabin again for breakfast...Just as good as before but staff a bit hit and miss...RyR app you can't fault...told us 2 hours in advance it was gate 5...next door are the two exec lounges, so I went in and was met by a lovely lady who showed me round both, explained the differences and made a very good impression of LBA...Value for money?...no..but as an experience to add on then yes...The 1462 looked really good...waiter service..
Overall the staff we've met have been welcoming, polite, very helpful and makes you want to go back...
Sure it's not busy and that makes difference..The flight crew have just arrived, complete with coffee and gone to flight ops...good sign and were sat at gate 5 ready for the next Ryanair adventure 🍿🍷☀️🎊😂

If I post feedback here does it get back to the powers that be?

Flew just after Xmas and security was a breeze.

However it was lashing with rain outside and rather than have passengers wait in the airside walkway tunnel to board the plane say ten at a time they ushered everyone to stand in a long queue in the driving rain on the stand. Not a great experience from that perspective.

No it doesn't . You'd need to write to the airport or airline with your comments.

Ive seen that happen many times at Leeds and elsewhere. Passengers get soaked before even getting on the plane.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
