After nearly two decades of flying around the world, I finally ticked off a long-awaited experience: Japan Airlines. Despite having flown dozens of carriers across six continents, JAL was somehow still missing from my list — until now.
This trip took me from Honolulu (HNL) to Osaka Kansai (KIX) aboard the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, in JAL’s Sky Wider Economy Class. It’s a product that’s earned a reputation for being one of the most comfortable ways to cross the Pacific in Economy — so naturally, I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype.
