Given the news that Birmingham is losing an Emirates flight is it possible their growth curve is slowing. This comes on top of employment reduction. .

I was told by someone who looked at a flight tv screen on Wed. morning at the airport that the EK outbound showed only 218 pax. Is it still the A380 until mid May? As has been said, May is probably the quietest month and I'm not suggesting such a load is generally indicative of a slow-down but nevertheless a useful reminder that even EK can have low loads at MAN, as presumably has happened at BHX. Of course, if Wednesday's flight was well populated with premium fare paying passengers in J class, even 218 is not disastrous and economy pax might have had 3 seats to themselves.

F class is already sold out on the EK18 on 16th July. Aircraft is F equipped as it still has seats available on the inbound.

Good to hear about strong demand, but doesn't this have F as a matter of routine?

F is normally sold but it was more to pre empt any question of the 3 class being subbed for a 2 class that day.

EK21/22 goes B77W from 1st May until 17th June, in line with a few other destinations doing the same. Usual low season reductions

Lots of cut backs for the low season, thankfully BHX is unaffected and if anything may gain ?

See User's post above Ian - already reported and no great surprise. Of course, if you think BHX is getting its morning flight back, you could always post this on their forum.

Cheers @IanFarquharson wondering what basis EK would expand BHX during a Lon off peak period when their major European routes have cuts in capacity? Or are you referring to long term expansion?

Emirates increase from Low (517 seats) to High(615 seats) density A380 on the morning EK021/022 for 31st August, 2nd, 4th & 8th September and the lunchtime flight, EK017/EK018 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st August and 3rd & 4th September.

I should have mentioned this back in June when I published the statistics for April 2018.

Emirates broke through the 1 million figure in a moving 12 month calendar from Manchester to Dubai with 1,002,238 passengers.

Summer 2019 see a continuation of 3 flights per day with the A380HD on both the morning and evening flights (offering 615 seets) and the A380 (517 seats) on the midday flight.

Our morning Dubai rotation is cancelled between 16th April and 30th May due to the runway work at DXB. Ours is one of many flights effected on a global basis by Emirates.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
