I would be very surprised if they don't. Hopefully it will be in 3 weeks time when I next go through the airport.

Going twice through the airport next month and then again in May, looking at the figures my Journeys in May and June may put me in with a shout.

Congratulations WH, you truly deserve it. I hope you mention F4A during your acceptance speech. ;)

Why thank you Seasider, of course!

Sadly, it only takes 1 passenger not to turn up between now and then and I will end up the 2,999,999th passenger and some other lucky person will steal it from me.................... :diablo:

If I was lucky enough to be the 3 millionth passenger at LBA I would happily share whatever with all of you, but realistically the chances are on a par with LBA getting direct scheduled flights to New York..............on Concorde!

First set of February stats just released. No total for LBA yet, but a few figures picked up from other airports listings show that we carried 9326 on LHR and 7598 (+14%) on Belfast City. LHR obviously growing.

Passenger figures for February and March are expected to be 'flat' compared to last year (ie more or less the same) but significant increases of up to 12% from April onwards

Updated stats now out and we are down 3.1% for February. Running total down to 2,965,204, so no 3 million anytime soon.

Hope you're right White Heather. As with all things LBA, I will believe it when I see it.

2012 was a leap-year, the lack of the extra day in Feb 2013 would account for a 3.4% decrease. So a 3.1% decrease is a slight rise, in real terms.

Bigman, we have more Jet2 flights than last year, a Monarch base with 2 A320's, British Airways, more Flybe flights to Belfast, still 3 Ryanair based, so provided we don't lose anything significant, there should be no problem going past 3m pax.

Keep the faith!!

And a Thomson 738 base this summer too!!

LBA will easy pass 3 million this year... The only thing holding the airport back at the present is currently being discussed on another thread.

Even more impressive is that atms were down 9.9% but passenger numbers down only 3.1%.

January had a similar disproportionate fall in atms compared with the slight fall in passenger numbers too.

On this evidence when the additional rotations mentioned in recent posts kick in passenger numbers will really take off (no pun!).

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
