Hopefully soon we will see TUI at Leeds/Bradford. I’m hoping that they will send the 737MAX here, what does everyone think? Reading an article about them reassuring people about it they are hoping to use the MAX for the summer season.

Given the microscopic scrutiny of its design and construction together will all the mandatory modifications it’s probably now one of the safest aircraft out there. Whether the flying public will take to it who knows, but I suspect many flying don’t know or care what type of aircraft they’re on anyway, others will realise but it won’t bother them, whilst there may be a tiny minority who refuse to fly on it.

I agree I would fly on it if they flew them to LBA. People have to get over the fears as I’m sure there have been other planes grounded in the past due to problems. They will be made fully safe before allowing any passengers on board.

Given the aircraft has spent a considerable amount of time completely out of the spot light; I suspect you could be right. The public won’t give 2 hoots about what aircraft they are flying on.

Add In the fact a lot of people want to get away I suspect they will be even less inclined to care.

As for TUI, Max and LBA. Depends where they W pattern the aircraft from. I don’t think we’ll see Max for a while, perhaps once the aircraft has settled into the TUI fleet that’s when we might see it.

It’s an error ignore it.The flightradar hasn’t picked the cancellations up. It’s showing all the tui flights from all airports that were supposed to have been operating. FR24 hasn’t picked up the cancellations.

Wow so all those MAN Tui flights showing are not actually operating? Even MAN is still like a ghost airport then at present!

Given the next review is 24th June, with of course the Green/Red (and useless amber) list coming into effect the week after, I suspect these dates will be pushed back. Particularly PMI.

Whatever we say Flintham has a point hasn't he. The Govt MUST be more helpful to these people and be more transparent with the airlines and help them as much as they can even if they don't pass everything on to us, the end user. I suppose, somehwere in their logic, there is a good reason for all this chopping and changing but it is difficult to understand and therefore lacks credulity as far as the man in the street is concerned.

I unfortunately did post about a week ago that there were worrying signs emerging for all airports/airlines. Nothing in the last week has done anything to change my view on that. I am far from ITK but am close to several commas on a daily basis. This summer could unfortunately yet still be a write off. I sincerely hope not but very little of my hard earned cash would be used to bet against it

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
