lbaspotter is quire right when he says Typical TUI.

They do it every year and advertise programmes for punters to look at and book then pull routes moving the poor punters to different airports. The amazing thing is that the punters put up with it year after year.

I suppose if TUI think they can get away with it (and they can and do) they will continue to do it year after year. Some people never learn do they.

I know TUI aren't exactly a fan favourite on this forum but I thought I'd post what TUI holidays offer on thier app for LBA.

You missing EasyJet to Palma & Malaga

You missing EasyJet to Palma & Malaga
Didn't come up as an option during the search

The in-house airline/TUI presence is retreating to worrying levels. Won't be long before we see nil TUI airways at LBA but more TUI holidays all delivered by easy & Ryanair. Only easy will end that once easyJet holidays are a firm favourite.
I'm pretty sure Palma de Mallorca and Corfu will remain as they're also there for Marella Cruises. I suspect on the holiday side it's easier for TUI holidays to use other airlines than try and make a base TUI Airways base work. That way TUI Holidays can still offer a decent programme from LeedsBradford for it's customers.

The blue tailed red smile livered aircraft of TUi Airways will restart to appear at Leeds/Bradford next week as they start up there summer seasonal charter flights programme on its 3 routes operating up to 6x weekly flights.

Corfu = Restarts May 2nd, 1x weekly (Fri)
Dubrovnik = Restarts May 8th, 1x weekly (Thu)
Palma de Mallorca = Restarts May 3rd, 2x weekly (Tue & Sat) - May 26th, Increases to 4x weekly (Tue-Wed & Sat-Sun)

Tuesdays
TOM3521 = PMI 10:40 – LBA 12:25 / TOM3520 LBA 15:20 – LBA 19:00 B738

Thursdays

My sister who lives ~ 5 miles from LBA, is flying to PMI on Saturday for a Med cruise, but from MME. When booking, they were told that LBA wasn't available. I wonder if TUI are trying to fill a poor selling MME flight, or the LBA flight was completely full at the time of booking.

Interesting. We need someone who is able, to tell us if this Saturday's outbound, and/or the relevant inbound, actually operate full. Whilst this won't necessarily be a true reflection on the situation at the time of booking, it will probably be the best pointer we can get

That’s TUI’s tactic. Spread the love around.

Ultimately they’ll want to fill the MME service as they are up against Ryanair. And everyone else at Newcastle and Leeds … I’d need to get my geek on but I’d suggest that the stretch from Liverpool to Newcastle, the amount of Palma flights available from all airports in that stretch tops out at well over 200. Including MME and HUY.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
