Hi guys

Just found out that and don’t know if this was originally planned but the based Thomson Airways (leased Sunwing) Boeing 737-800WL aircraft will be staying at Leeds/Bradford a little longer than first thought, Well at least until Monday November 4th now before returning back home to Canada.
Due to the School half term holidays running in to November it now has 4 extra flights to operate. Friday, Nov 1st it’s due to do a trip down to Dalaman, Saturday 2nd it’s going to Palma & Rhodes and on Sunday 3rd it’s going to operate the Tenerife service instead of the non based aircraft.

FRI 01st = TOM542 to Dalaman – ETD 10:00
FRI 01st = TOM543 from Dalaman - ETA 18:55
SAT 02nd = TOM3618 to Palma – ETD 07:25
SAT 02nd = TOM3619 from Palma – ETA 13:55
SAT 02nd = TOM3646 to Rhodes – ETD 15:30
SUN 03rd = TOM3647 from Rhodes – ETA 01:10
SUN 03rd = TOM3748 to Tenerife – ETD 09:00
SUN 03rd = TOM3749 from Tenerife – ETA 19:10

And I've also just been told that the Canadian (Sunwing) flight crews will be returning to Leeds next April to start summer operations for Thomson's again on May 1st 2014.

Would be nice to see some other operators aircraft as well. Humberside dont get much but what they do is pretty interesting.

hi all :hatsoff:
just noticed on dtv site that Thompson (are at it again) that all there flights for summer 2014 have been pulled and the customers re-directed to Doncaster not Newcastle (the nearest) or lba.

Wonder if these gaps in the schedule opens up the door for Thomson to return to Humberside? (wishful thinking i guess).

Or frequency upgrades/new destinations at LBA would be just as good!.

Oh my friends at DTV will gutted! I really fear for the commercial side of the airport now... I personally can only see Thomson operating extra services out of LBA or adding capacity to their NCL operations by moving the DTV W's into there.

Sorry Hull City Fan but fingers crossed for LBA!

hi lbaspotter :hatsoff:
just noticed a 05-55 dep by thom to Malaga,i was not aware they flew to agp ax lba also I cant find the return, any idea whats going on.

The Leeds based Sunwing Boeing 737-800WL is positioning out empty to Malaga this morning. It will then operate a Malaga to Manchester end of summer season service. After a crew change the aircraft will then operate Manchester to Sharm el Sheikh before returning to Leeds in the early hours of tomorrow morning operating the last inbound summer inbound flight from Sharm el Sheikh.

Nice to see Thomson operating right up to end of October and into the beginning of November. I assume its because of half term.

The LBA summer base closes today when the aircraft returns from TFS. The aircraft will then position out empty to EMA tomorrow morning at 0600.

I see that Boeing 737-800WL, C-FLZR is the last of the Canadian aircraft in the UK now. I wonder if has she gone to EMA this morning to have her TUI titles removed and Sunwing titles re-added along with having an end of lease check before heading back over the pond.

Your probably right lbaspotter there are hangars at EMA for that kind of stuff. I read something interesting recently regarding Sunwing. They are one of the first airlines worldwide to order the new 737 split winglet's and will retrofit them to all their a/c. I don't know if this includes the leased Thomson birds but it may be interesting to see if they have them fitted when they return next summer.

As we know the Teeside flights have been dropped, does anybody know if our aircraft will be operating the W pattern to another UK airport or will they be waiting for the return flight?

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
