Okay got a question and hoping somebody on here might be able to help me out.

Dose anyone happen to have the Thomson Airways flight Numbers for the new summer Tuesday (PM) Leeds/Bradford - Crete-Heraklion service?

It would be much appreciated, as it will help me with the first edition of the forthcoming summer 2015 timetable.

Took a while but found it for you lbaspotter;

LBA-HER TOM3216
HER-LBA TOM3217

Glad you found it, I couldn't....thought it was one of those virtual bookings where you book from LBA and later for some reason the flight gets transferred to MAN.

Regards

Malaga

It is Thomson's so anything is possible. (Just imagining the Thomson/First Choice add now with the huge sky-slide sloping all the way from Leeds to Manchester airport  )

Nooooooooooooo god I do hope not. What a nightmare that was.

Last year was much better so it would be a shame to return to mega delays and problems, wont do Thomson any favours.

Has anyone be able to confirm it Thomson Airways are using there own UK registered Boeing 737-800 aircraft for the LBA based summer 2015 flight programme which starts in 15 days time or if they are intending still to lease an aircraft from Canadian Airline Sunwing?

Didn't the last time there was so much uncertainty, the Canadians turned up a couple of nights before?

Good news as I've just read on the Travel Weekly News website that Thomson Holidays are to announce 2 new routes from Leeds/Bradford to Mahon-Menorca and Paphos-Cyprus for summer 2016. Lets just hope non of the existing routes/flights have been axed and that they are making better use of the based aircraft instead of it doing its normal W-legs duties elsewhere.

Great news, wasn't Paphos supposed to operate when Thomson first announced the base however the quickly dropped it?!? & don't Thomson already operate a weekly flight to Mahon or did that get dropped also?!

Yeap "Ap1995" you are correct on both accounts. Paphos was dropped before it was even started back when Thomson Holidays announced their return to LBA summer based operations. The Mahon route was dropped after operating just one season when the Sunwing aircraft was based.

Now all but confirmed that Thomson Holidays and First Choice are expanding there route network from Leeds/Bradford Airport next summer. As this article appeared in my email inbox this morning from the Business Desk website.

TRAVEL operators Thomson and First Choice will be increasing capacity at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) through the introduction of additional seats and new routes.

The move to introduce these routes is part of the holiday company's strategy to enable customers to fly from their local airport.
The new routes go on sale on the 23rd April 2015.

Customers at Leeds Bradford will be able to fly to nine Mediterranean destinations including flights to Mahon, Menorca and Paphos, Cyprus.

Karen Switzer, director of Aviation Planning for Thomson and First Choice, said: "Adding more capacity from Leeds Bradford and with the introduction of new routes to Menorca and Cyprus demonstrates our commitment to the airport and the local area.

"Following the success of similar routes across a number of regional airports, we know that the demand is there.

"Expanding access to our portfolio of destinations and hotels is a key part of our overall strategy and we hope that this move will enhance the holiday experience for our customers."

Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airports aviation development director commented:"Leeds Bradford Airport welcomes the expansion and introduction of new routes to the island of Menorca and Paphos in Cyprus by Thomson and First Choice for summer 2016.

"With their widest ever holiday choice, holidaymakers in West and North Yorkshire can choose between a First Choice all inclusive holiday or choose from a range of popular exclusive Thomson hotels flying from locally from Leeds Bradford Airport.

"We welcome Thomson and First Choice's increased commitment to the region and we are confident that these new Leeds Bradford routes will be a resounding success."

If thats right I see somebody on here "SNOWMAN 1 " is going to be well pleased about having flights to Malaga by Thomson's. Wonder why both Dalaman and Corfu have been reduced from 2x to 1x weekly flights and the newly introduced route for this year to Crete Heraklion looks to have disappeared after just one season.

What day is the New route to Mahon in Menorca operating Hull City Fan?

Just seen the flight times for Summer 2016. All the flights arriving back into LBA have a 90min turnaround. 757 maybe? The MAH flights are showing on a based aircraft but the times don't work out...

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
