Ryanair.com are to pull there Newcastle to Olso Rygge route as from January 8th 2012.

The good news is that the airline is to go 2x daily / 14x weekly on the Dublin route as from the winter timetable and the Gerona-Barcelona route is to be kept on for another year.
 
Ryanair have just announced 2x new routes from Newcastle for winter 2016/17 schedule. They will operate 2x weekly to both Tenerife and Arrecife whilst flights to Alicante will continue to operate 4x weekly along with Malaga which wil become a year round operated service when flights commence this summer.
The airlines Dublin - Newcastle route will also be increased to go double daily starting from June.

Warsaw Modlin

A poster on the DP reports that the NCL route is to cease from 31 March this year - one of 12 routes axed at Modlin with two fewer based aircraft there. In view of the short timescale this might have been announced previously.
 
Maybe Ryanair will replace Easyjet and open a base at Newcastle? Lanzarote, Tenerife and Girona have all come up on the drop down and they aren't ryanair bases.
 
Ryanair’s new route to Zadar will start from 27th March 2022 with flights being 2x weekly on Wednesdays and Sunday’s from SeanM on Twitter
 
Newcastle-Chania will hopefully start on May 28th 2022 with flights on Mondays and Fridays
