Amsterdam going three daily next summer as does faro. It seems lots of changes to timings in the schedule too
There’s also increases in Bfs, gla, edi , cdg and agp
Athens going 3 weekly . Malaga up to four daily
Apart from Faro there is nothing to indicate that these increases are a response to Jet2 as none of the routes are currently planned to be operated by Jet 2 in summer 2021.

It also seems that some of the extra flights have been put in so that they can be taken out if the pandemic continues to dampen demand. These are examples of the sort of thing I mean.

In May the EDI route shows 6 return flights on some days of the week.

BRS-EDI on Fri departure times and current fares

0705 39.99
1200 138.99
1545 70.99 (EZY427)
1545 84.99 (EZY425)
1915 27.99
2045 24.99

EDI-BRS on Mon departure times and current fares

0850 32.99
1015 30.99 (EZY 426)
1015 133.99 (EZY424)
1730 38.99
1900 26.99
2115 26.99

Having two flights departing to a destination at the same time under different flight numbers is novel for easyJet at BRS but the fare differentials, especially the EDI-BRS example, show that easyJet is not expecting the more expensive departure to be booked until all the others are sold out.

BRS-AMS, now 3 x daily for most of the seven-day week has departures at 0700, 1535 and 1635 most days. The first and last departures are priced mainly between 22.99 and 36.99 but the 1545 departures has prices between 111.99 and 133.99. Again it looks as though it's there at the moment should demand prove very high on the route.

The a321 back on schedule for next summer
According to the seat selector and FR24 today's and tomorrow's Tenerife South departures use the A321. When I checked yesterday today's departure had 133 seats occupied and tomorrow's 144, so plenty of room left on the 235-seat A321.

It seems like there will be some time changes to come.... On a Monday in August 2021 for example there are three departures to AGP, two depart at the same time, one with an EJU (easyJet Europe) flight number and the other an EZY flight number. The timings of the EJU flight suggest it will be a AGP based aircraft (their new summer base) operating AGP-BRS-AMS-BRS-AGP (the AMS leg being the new third daily departure from BRS which is also an EJU flight number). This probably means the AGP flight that is under the EZY flight number will be removed from the schedule or re-timed.
I assume the EDI flight times will be shuffled about or instead one will be removed.

Will be interesting to see if there is a reaction to jet2 and Wizz

Nothing yet. It looks a mirror image of this winters schedule. No Murcia for example. Very early days

The broad industry view seems to be that it might take until 2023 or 2024 to get back to 2019 passenger levels. In their recent updated submission to the Planning Inspectorate BRS suggests that their passenger growth timeline has slipped by about four years because of the virus. They now don't expect to reach 12 mppa until 2030 (assuming they win their appeal which is by no means certain) when pre-pandemic they projected that 2026 would be the year.

With the 'noughties' recession, airports and airlines did not all recover at the same rate so probably won't post-pandemic either, meaning there might not be a one-size fits-all recovery. BRS recovered quicker than many airports from that major recession but obviously there is no guarantee that it will do so with the pandemic. Nevertheless, the likelihood still remains that with most airports and airlines some route networks and/or frequencies will be reduced compared with 2019 for the next year or two at least.

So, as this is the BRS forum, should we really expect next winter to be as good as the last pre-pandemic winter whether it involves easyJet or the other airlines that serve the airport? If we don't expect that easyJet and other airlines will either introduce reduced programmes compared with pre-pandemic or, if they don't, will doubtless have to later cut their programmes to fit a probable reduction in demand as it's a near certainty that the virus ramifications will be with us in one shape or another throughout next year - hopefully a very much reduced effect but an effect nonetheless especially in the first part of the summer.

I believe that if easyJet can viably preserve most of its BRS routes and frequencies at somewhere approaching 2019 levels in the two seasons following the current winter that will be a big achievement. We know it won't happen for the remaining months of winter 2020-2021 because a lot of their programme has already been taken out. The same applies with other airlines.

Looking at Brs to dalaman there is four departures but five returns. More to come ?

Kos and Preveza that should have launched in summer 2020 will now begin in summer 2021, both 2 x weekly. Were these not already in the booking engine for summer 21?

Kos will compete with TUI and Jet2 (3 x weekly and 1 x weekly respectively) and Preveza with Jet2 (1 x weekly).

Significant changes have appeared on the website tonight . The likes of Basel , lyon , Seville have no flights on sale and the likes of nice and Malaga have significant reductions. Let’s hope it’s a glitch

Lets hope it is a glitch, but with this covid going on then what ever is operated or not operated would not suprise me. We must not forget if the covid 19 is at a reasonable level at departure airport, then the destination airport might have the highest restrictions going then the flight would not operate.I think that next summer will be a strange one with lots of routes down to operate will not operate, and with that it might be very close to operateing day weather it does operate.

Toulouse now completely gone until next winter. Seville removed from drop down list. It seems strange those routes are dropped particularly Toulouse when they then launch preveza and keep the likes of Bilbao and Nantes .

I'd expect that Toulouse would be more of a business destination so may not be getting the bookings. Nantes and Bilbao could be more leisure orientated routes.

Google report that EZY are concentrating their recovery in Gatwick.......

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
