easyJet flight from EDI to BRS yesterday afternoon diverted to BHX following a burning smell on board. The aircraft landed safely at BHX and passengers continued their journey to BRS by coach transport.

I can't find anything about this route on the airport website. There is certainly nothing in the News Releases section. The last route announcement there was Ryanair's Milan MXP.

Bristol Post's article is clearly based on a press release so there must have been one.

I suppose most people now get their information via social media sites. There are people like me though who eschew them and look to other airport conduits to obtain information. I can only think the lack of a News Release on the airport's own website for easyJet's new BRS-RHO route is an oversight. In the past they've always put details of new routes there.

Since the last update, they've added a 3rd daily flight on Tuesday and Wednesday using a BRS based aircraft.
BFS is now 20x weekly in peak summer, +3 on same period of 2018. The weekly schedule is now as follows:
Mon - 4x daily (+1 on 2018)
Tue - 3x daily (+1 on 2018)
Wed - 3x daily (+1 on 2018)
Thu - 3x daily
Fri - 3x daily
Sat - 1x daily
Sun - 3x daily
