That is indeed true. But doesnt the law also hold the bar person serving the drinks as culpable. There have been many convictions of bar tenders for over serving. Perhaps a few cases at airports and the airside and land side establishments will put safety before profits.
And the amount that of pints on display at 4 am is staggering. Travellers are in a partymood so think nothing of ordering a pint at that time. Each to their own i guess but the fact that drunken flight cancellations is such a rarity is a testament to the drinking powers of the South West non millenials.
