Just had a quick look at Qatar Airways website and it looks like for Summer 2019 they will go daily from 23rd May. Also Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in July the prices are higher than the weekday prices.

Daily begins about half way through ramadan it seems.

Looking forward to July stats to see how Doha performed.

I'm expecting it to be much better than the first two months so far as passenger loads are concerned.

That would be a huge increase.
Yep but it also ties in with the holiday season really starting and i think more general awareness of the route and of the connections that it can provide.

Well if the info that someone just posted on that Cardiff Airport Facebook page is correct then the monthly passenger numbers for July should be between 9000 and 10,000.
That would average out at around 145-160 per flight - 60% load factor give or take one or two percentage points depending whether its nearer to 10,000 or 9,000.

Yeah not bad. The poster said that inbounds had an average of 124 pax per flight and outbounds were averaging 85% load factorso about 215 pax per flight i believe.

As most passengers will likely be taking return flights the inbounds and outbounds ought to roughly equalise over time.

Very good in my opinion. An airport with under 2 million passengers and was on the brink of closing just a few years ago now is filling a good portion of seats on a long haul service.

Review of Qatar Airways Doha to Cardiff service.

The usual extremely high standard we've come to expect and never been let down. Many thanks yet again.

Great video! Always brings a smile to my face when i see that Qatar 787 at Cardiff!

When are you going to try Qatar from CWL, Jerry?

Probably not till next year. No definite plan's as to when. At the moment I've got 2 US trips in late October and for Xmas and possibly if i can get cheap flights a spotting trip to EDI at the beginning of October to keep me busy! Looking at Easyjet for the return on the EDI flight as well.

EasyJet can give some good prices. Had to use them for Hogmanay just gone. Also flew with them to Nantes today and will return via LaRochelle on Tuesday.

I had a quick look today and the flight I'm looking at is around £40 one way with Flybe being £35. I'll have a look at it next to see what the prices are like.

Just looking at some of the fares in the QR booking engine over the next few days - CWL seems to have best UK yields with rtn fares a staggering £2.5k on some days - must be busy which is great !

Still think Nov, Jan and Feb gonna be tough tho

That's good news! Hopefully indicates full aircraft! The winter loads will be interesting to see!

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
