Well to be fair to TUi, it appears they are going to position another aircraft in to operate the delayed Mahon flight today as it is showing on the departures board as due out around 1945, 1 hour 20 minutes before the Sunwing is due back from Corfu.

TUi have dropped the weekly Tuesday afternoon Dalaman service for next Summer 2019.
The LBA based aircraft on Tuesday will revert to operating a Palma w-leg to another UK airport.

They could serve a Greek destination or somewhere more exotic than Palma, but it's back to Palma the good old Tommy default button.

We were told that Turkey was now really going places and we saw a considerable increase in flights this year. Jet2 next year are still committed to Turkey and have introduced Izmir too, but both Thomas Cook and TUi have now reduced their offering in Turkey for summer 2019 - the former by more than half. So has the Turkish bubble burst or are Thomas Cook and TUi losing the battle to Jet2 out of LBA?

Oh no we've lost another one! TUI have now removed the planned Thursday Palma-Majorca rotation for next summer 2019 which was originally planned to be operated by Albastar.

Meanwhile the based aircraft will now no longer operate a w-leg on Mondays. Instead it will do a Ibiza rotation then in the afternoon do the Corfu service (Instead of the Late night departure that its operated over past 2 years)

Do we have two Neos flights then next year? LBA management have stated that the Innsbruck flights on Saturday are to be operated by Neos 737s too.

TUI need to either heavily commit or not bother! They seem to only give routes a year too grow and if they don't axe them, if only we worked for them...

They won't heavily commit at LBA while they have a DSA base - or at least a base of the current size, as despite the fact LBA and DSA have different catchment areas, as far as TUi are concerned, any expansion at LBA would be likely to impact on DSA, and for now, they are committed to that airport. Frankly, I would rather have what we have (a single based aircraft) than nothing. Lets just see what happens after the LBA terminal developments are completed, and we have more stands, and around that time, the DSA contract may be up for renewal too. As I have said before, with TUi in the UK based at Luton, an airport now under the same ownership as LBA, our owners, AMP Capital, are possibly in a better position to negotiate a deal with TUi than their predecessors were.

Nope Neos are only down showing to operate the weekly Verona charter flight for TUI on Saturdays. Ingham's Holidays are still showing Flybe operating the weekly Innsbruck flight on Saturdays...

Flight details as follows.

I note that Neos, Nouvelair and the Turkish Airline, Freebird, are all now listed as LBA airline partners on the LBA website. The use of a Neos 737 on the Innsbruck route was quite definite and confirmed in the Consultative Meeting minutes, so I guess we will have to wait and see what turns up.

Would seem that the management have mixed up the routes and operating airline.
As you say lets wait and see what happens.
Nice to see some variety of airlines but it would have been nice to keep the Tommy Cook A321s as well.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
