You can see it off the A8. It's a mound that gives them very good views and I think they access via the Royal Highland Showground. Also just off J1 of the M9 there's a services and the aircraft takeoff and land right over it. Edinburgh Airport is a lovely airport. The city and the airport is well worth visiting as is the surrounding area.

Thanks Jerry for the info. I have been to the City of Edinburgh a couple of times and loved it, but everytime i watch plane video's from there it just feels like a great spot and EDI gets alot of traffic especially during the summer months. The only problem is the Edinburgh weather, not everyday is like the video above. 😒

I think you will find that the weather at Edinburgh is much the same as at other UK airports, changeable but ok.
Great airport though for a variety of aircraft.
