Forgive me for my ignorance but why divert to Birmingham? Was Bournemouth and Gatwick also fogged in? Perhaps those airfields had a curfew I really do not know.

Probably due to Flybe having a base at BHX and therefore being more capable of dealing with diverted passengers and getting them to their destination.

Now then, what is not happening at Gatwick for Norwegian to have to come to Birmingham? ILS better here? Or VFR not permitted? The big fog perhaps meaning more diverts!

low cloud base at Gatwick, aircraft was unable to land due to not being able to perform an ILS approach, so came to BHX where the weather was better and performed a RNAV approach to Runway 15

Ryanair from DUB is currently holding over Cannock. The two Wizz in front (1x A320 and 1x A321) managed to land as did the Air France A320 just before them.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.

Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
