Liverpool: Loganair Route News & Base Updates

Discussions relating to Liverpool Airport
Loganair looks like they are operating double flights at the moment, maybe capacity is a bit low with the aircraft type.
So there are two IOM arrivals LM 687 due at 17.12 and LM 697 due at 17.20. Flights operating out both at 18.00 as LM 688 and LM 698.

Had a brief look at availability between IOM and LPL and back quite a lot of sold out flights, plus the reservation system is only showing to the end of the month so far.

With Corvid19 worries and as a result the TT has been cancelled, who knows how things will pan out and for how long

Just two passenger flight movements today from and to the IOM at 14.35 and 17.20 arriving, departing 15.15 and 18.00. As the islands borders are now closed I imagine these must be for urgent travel / hospital passengers. The terminal building must be eerily quiet !

LM 541 from IOM landed half an hour early today at 07.29, was due at 08.00, no idea how or why, its only a 30 min hop anyway.

That's what happens all the people turn up at the airport 90 minutes before the flight. Might as well go to reduce the risk of them being late for hospital appointments

Especially now with all the Corvid 19 issues

Loganair have LPL-IOM available on their website into 2021 now, up 26 Mar 21. There was talk that Loganair was covering IOM services on a temporary basis after the the Flybe collapse. However this appears to be a more permanent basis now.

Loganair have a flight departing about now to Amsterdam LC 840

Liverpool are playing Ajax tomorrow evening in Amsterdam in the European Champions League, although I suspect the club usually charters a larger aircraft than those operated by Loganair for such matches.

They have used a variety of airlines in the past, normally a larger aircraft as you say.

Interestingly there were two charters today to AMS.
- Loganair E145 (G-SAJC) positioned in from EDI this morning and departed out to AMS at 09:00
- Jota Aviation RJ1H (G-JOTS) positioned in from SEN this afternoon and departed to AMS at 17:00

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
