Basically if GALBA had their way I'd be out of a job or transferred to Manchester or another base airport. Doubt there's a Galba equivalent in Manchester!!
According to GALBA, your job at LBA is not sustainable. You should be helped to find another career. Probably one you don't want. One you hate maybe. But hey, if it saves them the bother if having an airport nearby, who are we to argue? We can all toddle off to MAN or DSA for our future flights like they do.

it really does make you wonder what goes off in some peoples heads!

I dont know if anyone else picked up earlier this week (sorry unusually slow to update but it is the end of tax season!) but the new West Yorkshire mass transit blueprint (and looking at the scope if it, it will be blueprint as its looks expensive and very long term) does include an interchange type facility at Yeadon with 2x lines converging on the airport including a Bradford / Guiseley circular and the Leeds / Harrogate line. This looks far more like we would expect on the continent but would certainly add weight to terminal developments and the development of the business park:

And if you have a look at this link you'll see he hasn't spent more than a couple of years at any position
Maybe, but he was at Jetstar Airways for just short of 4 years, with two positions, one for a year, one for just short of 3 years.

His past isn't that relevant. It's the future that matters. Perhaps he and his family fancy settling down in God's own county, hence the six of them moving here to set up home.

Of course his past is relevant! Its his past that will of been considered when he was offered the position. I do hope he stays for some time though, I didn't care much for Parkin ( I found him rude and ignorant) and Lawes was nothing but a show man. Hywel Rees has been the best CEO for some time so I hope his legacy is carried on by the boss

So clearly then, despite the number of jobs he has had, as you point out in a negative way, AMP see it differently. Despite all those positions, they think he is the right man for the job.
My point is that it's what he does at LBA that matters now. I don't care what his track record is, or how often he changes job, provided he sorts out this airport and provides stability, because by God, it's going to need it.

When was I ever 'negative' Simply posting info I had discovered about the new CEO. I wish him well.

Sorry, but It comes across as negative. Pointing out that he has not held a post for more than a couple of years certainly doesn't come across as positive, particularly after some of the previous posts on the forum suggesting that he isn't rated within the industry.

It seems a shame to me that a new CEO is having his career history and suitability for the job discussed at all before he even gets here. Clearly AMP Capital think he is the best candidate for the job and they must have their reasons.

I too wish him well and hope he brings much success. Hopefully he likes it here and doesn't see any need to move on again for a long time to come.

crikey lets give the poor chap a chance! we dont know what goes on behind the scenes, end of the day how many CEOs have we had that have come and gone in the last ten years, they all seem to be the same in and out of the job! Maybe our current CEO has done the job he set out to do and now we have the new guy in to attract the airlines? Overall im very positive, from what i see many things are coming together.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
