Your right. A guess but maybe they’re messing around with the schedules for the flights but I don’t think they won’t fly there during those months as it’s Christmas time. Would be surprised if they decided not to fly to ALC during XMAS.
Yes its very strange, ALC has huge demand esp in winter with its mild winter climate. They must be messing with the schedule?

Indeed, looks very strange ALC out of them all. Hopefully it’s just them making some changes and flights will be available again soon.

Well im going to wait a week or two to see what happens with the alc schedule before applying for refund or voucher amd obviously atm cant change flight date as there is no other dates atm! The outbound flight is a seperate booking and that flight is happening so bit of a nightmare.

Is very strange i must say, guess there just messing with the system atm, if so its just abit annoying for all the passengers who now have cancelled flights. Are all the the other destinations on offer still?

Ryanair opening a new base at Newcastle with 11x new routes & 2x based aircraft announced this morning. Here's hoping its part of a deal with AMP Capital that has positives for LBA in the long run.

But as usual it looks like LBA will be one of the last UK bases for summer 2022 to go on sale. Why change a habit of a life time eh!

Maybe they’re saving the best till last. I would like to see the routes they previously cut back on. Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Corfu and Girona along with any new routes that have never been served are welcome. Hopefully we might get something interesting when they do release Summer 22 flights.

They seem to be announcing new routes from the UK to Lisbon recently a LBA one wouldn’t go amiss.

Don't build up your hopes up to high, knowing Ryanair over the years they will just let us down..

True.. it’s disappointing that they don’t commit to LBA much as I’m sure new routes can work as Leeds and Yorkshire is a major place in this country and find it annoying that LBA is underserved.

The MAN effect again. Nothing to do with insufficient demand from LBA, more to do with not watering demand down at MAN by giving people the option to fly from here. We seem destined to live in the shadow of MAN - yet it doesn't seem to have the same impact on LPL does it??

Part of that @White Heather was the reluctance to have low costs carriers based at Manchester during the late 90's and early 00's apart from a select number of routes. That lead them to setting up Liverpool. As for what Leeds/Bradford was doing then, well your better placed then myself, but been owned by 5 councils who are 1930's in their thinking, hasn't helped over the last 30 years.

Ryanair know the Liverpool so well and what works, however let's not kid ourselves, Liverpool is and does suffer with Manchester effect. It will reach a point however, in my opinion, where Ryanair have to grow the offering at airports inside the extensive Manchester catchment area as Manchester is "full" and maybe new routes need to be introduced.

I assume there will be some impact on LBA with the opening opening of the NCL base. Last time I flew Ryanair from LBA there was a party from Newcastle. They said it was cheaper to fly from LBA than Newcastle on that occasion. We also need to keep our eyes on Teeside as expansion there will also affect LBA.

All these issues could be resolved with a new terminal, im aware most ryanair customers are not that fussed with the quality of the terminal they pass through but with a new terminal the airport will have a far better product and space to offer airlines inc ryanair!

Please tell Robert Jenrick! You are preaching to the converted on here!

I think possible the hills between Manchester and Leeds make a difference in peoples travel perception. There are plenty of Manchester passengers who fly from Liverpool, easy road and rail links.

Ryanair initially came to Liverpool for the Dublin route, then Aer Lingus was kicked off it by the Irish Government and the same at Manchester for Ryanair on the Dublin route from there. After Easyjet started low cost in the North from Liverpool, Ryanair then followed them from Liverpool to European destinations. Liverpool does suffer from Manchester being close, but the NW is a big market and can support two airports easily. There is no Blackpool as well anymore.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
