I've come to realise even with the big extension thats to happen on the side of the current terminal its still progress and hopefully will attrack new routes and pos airlines but eventually should lead to something better or even a full remodel of the current terminal. Still pretty annoyed with whats happened though!
Hallelujah!

When they talk about “levelling” up the north they mean “flattening” LBA. Or so it would appear the way they throw obstacles in our way
May as well be talking about flattening Leeds and West Yorkshire not just LBA.

I was listening to one of the Conservative Party speeches on Friday and it was truly cringeworthy knowing what we know regarding HS2 and now LBA. No words can describe my anger at this pathetic lot. I've no idea how anybody can support them.

They've already said no more money from national government for a tram. Unlike those within the "Real Northern Powerhouse", we will have to pay for it ourselves.

Totally inaccurate and confusing but at least it’s dawning on them the consequences and futility of the opposition to the new terminal and LBA not proceeding with it. I suspect it will have come as a nasty surprise to many that the airport has previous approval to expand. Serves them bloody well right.

It’s almost as if someone has done a copy and paste of various other documents and tried to cobble something together. This is total sh*te, and what’s worse is someone at the paper is proof reading and signing this off for release. Lazy journalism should not be acceptable to readers or advertisers alike and I hope that that is called out to the editors.

I just refuse to read it! In fact, I refuse to read anything written by Richard Beecham, a reporter that does stories for various papers, including the YEP, T&A and even the much loved (not) Wharfedale Observer. They are usually a load of tosh and very much leaning towards anti LBA.

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
