Update on Hans Airways.

A332 due, Amritsar to be the first destination with the possibility of Toronto following. Talking to partners about feed from Italy.

Could have a very good frequency (more than daily) to India from BHX very soon via Hans & Air India

We badly need links back to the Indian sub-continent, and this will hopefully be well supported. Air India have unfortunately floundered with the B787 problems. It is important to get things moving again in that part of the world. The Toronto link is also interesting, with potentially a good market opportunity for Birmingham and the wider area.

Walking through the terminal at 4pm noticed Air India was on the arrivals board, due same time as now if I remember correctly. Noted as Cancelled. The enquiries desk was in darkness. Possibly loading of new schedule by airport ready for starting ? So possibly Monday plus other days ? We’ll have to wait and see I guess.

Suggested in the replies to the Sean M tweet by someone that Toronto is Hans propoed second route. That person is a very well informed member of this forum so just maybe you never know.

Good luck to the airline, but it only needs their one aircraft to go tech or suffer a massive delay outbound or inbound then the knock on effects are massive.

I'm sure bigger brains than me have worked that out but still, one aircraft... good luck!
