Yes Ray I watched the video when you originally posted it about a week ago but obviously I didn't pay enough attention as my wife constantly reminds me.

I have to say that the CEO seems fully up to speed and aware are with whats required to launch an airline and makes no outrageous claims just talks in a matter of fact way, unlike the apparent fiasco unfolding at LBA with IPS.

The bit I didn't get was looking at a partner airline for feed from Bergamo. I'm not sure of the demand from that area to Amritsar but even if it was sizeable wouldn't it be a couple of hours flying in the opposite direction?

Good luck to the airline, but it only needs their one aircraft to go tech or suffer a massive delay outbound or inbound then the knock on effects are massive.

I'm sure bigger brains than me have worked that out but still, one aircraft... good luck!

I could be wrong but I think the plan is that before starting any scheduled flights, they will be leasing their aircraft to other airlines as Flypop are doing at the moment, so that will give them a period in which they can acquire more aircraft.

Press release yesterday on the Hans web site confirms it will operate ACMI / charter services to help with crew training ahead of finalising slots and timetable details.

Mentioned on the DFForum ( via WLR FM) Ryanair/AerLingus Regional ‘in discussions’ to start services from Waterford ( no destinations mentioned ), as billionaire property developers take major stake…..Or just see opportunity for easy access to own a piece of land for the future. Did we see Waterford services in the past ?

I think we had a brief spell of Waterford services a few years back. Possibly Aer Aerran or Flybe. It would have been seasonal and not year round.

to think Ryanair's first route was LGW-WAT with a EMB Banderante. I dont think there are any service to Waterford from anywhere presently .

I seem to remember BHX did have flights to Waterford with flybe & was planned By a start up airline with SF340 from Lithuanian operator
I think VLM extended the Antwerp flights for a short time but it may of been some where else

I'm going back here, but there was a short lived carrier called Euroceltic, based in Waterford. They had an F27. They flew LTN-WAT, then did LTN-LPL-WAT. I went on them once or twice, but as I say it was short lived.

Ryanair dont fly to Waterford

No it was Gatwick first, it was in July 1985, I remember it well i was a travel agent at the time. They then they moved to Luton as their base.
