That was partially my original point but as people disagreed with me telling Kjay nit to Do it I apologised and will leave him to it. But I agree leave it to the experts I will be happy to help if he does still want to ring Airlines.
BHX RD Team travel all around World meeting airlines therefore a phone call from any of us is a complete waste of time and will make no difference in an airlines decision where to fly to.

That was my existing point I apologised anyway maybe I worded my points wrong. As My example stated I'll change it from West Brom to Man City. Pep asks his Scouts for a new midfeilder to replace Rodri he has scouts all across the world telling him say Jude Bellingham boss He looks good, Jamal Muisala he looks good. Pep might be nice to say Tom phoning him and saying I recommended you shouldn't Sign George Smith but he would have scouts telling him it is down to Pep or in this Case BHX if they want an airline or to speak to them. If Kjay enjoys doing it he seems to I will help him with Route suggestion I do not encourage which was my point don't phone them you might look Birmingham look bad if he is right and El Al have pulled the plug on Stansted they might be looking at BHX for there next route him phoning rather than BHX looks bad. But to save myself getting shot down I apologised and well I suppose leave him to it. I agree with you though leave BHX to phone the airlines they know what works and what won't/Is unlikely at this moment. They know FR and EZY and Flybe are more likely to expand than us get AA or Gulf Air to serve here

Posted elsewhere by a very well informed member of this forum (I think) Flybe showing Aberdeen and Southamptonfor winter the latter surprises me maybe more of a case of using it as a positioning flight, joining cruises or more likely connecting through BHX to Scotland?

I noticed Flybe used Southampton on Saturday evening to drop off passengers from Avignon and continued on to BHX. Low bookings perhaps.

... or more likely connecting through BHX to Scotland?

that would make sense if Flybe weren't also launching SOU-EDI/GLA direct lol .... only options SOU would be available to ferry through would be

SOU-BHX-AMS and
SOU-BHX-ABZ

I think this is a bit optimistic for a start date but then I’m not in the know…

Hans Airways, with its community airline mission, intends to make Amritsar in Northern India its first destination from Birmingham Airport, and expects to be able to start flying in October (subject to licence approval).

Time for a dedicated thread?

Proving flights depart from Birmingham Airport

Hans Airways is pleased to confirm it performed its formal route proving flight for the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday, 31 August, aboard its newly re-registered Airbus A330-200, G-KJAS. Two sets of flight and cabin crew, led by COO Captain Nathan Burkitt and Neeru Prabhakar, Manager - Cabin Safety and Service, operated the flight, whilst Simon Prower, Director of Ground Operations, focused on dispatch and logistics, with ground handling managed by Swissport. With over 100 guests on board, flight time was a little over two hours, flying along the west coast towards the North Atlantic and back to Birmingham Airport.

You might get one in on a diversion in a few years or to visit the maintenance hangar. Keep the faith.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
